What is Dogpacking?
…only the greatest way to enjoy the outdoors! Chino is usually smiling, we swear.
What is this…. dog… packing you say?
If you’ve got the leg power to cart across your best friend and all the supplies you need, nothing can stop you… Except for National Parks, limited accommodation options, extreme weather, snake bites, or the sad discovery that your dog is happiest surfing couches indoors.
Dogpacking is the rare space in this universe where people who enjoy slugging it on a bicycle carrying camping gear, food and water, meet equally adventurous dogs who find happiness adding weight to that same bicycle while enjoying some epic views.
It’s bikepacking with a canine twist, and we’re here to offer as much of our own experiences as possible!

Why Dogpack in Australia?
Australia’s got some stunning landscapes and quaint regional towns. The selection of dog permitted areas are slowly growing.
National Parks are generally off the table (few exceptions), and with fair reason to the native inhabitants. State Forests are great options, but please first be mindful of locations with permitted hunting or 1080 fox baiting.
With many considerations to account for, Dogpacking Australia hopes to find or carve out routes that can be shared and enjoyed by other adventurers who may or may not be riding with canine companions. Creating new experiences and driving tourism to regional towns and businesses is a great win for everyone!
