Cranstons Road Trail and Porters Road Trail

Kenthurst

Start / End

Porter Road Out and Back

Distance

8.1km

Terrain

Single Track and Fire Trail

Elevation

120m

Cranstons Road Trail has a quick little singletrack branching from the main fire trail. There’s a great view point past some sandy sections and the option to continue further out to O’Hara’s Creek toward Middle Dural.

Trail Overview

Cranston’s Road Fire Trail or Porters Road Fire Trail depending on where you enter, is a gated dirt road also used by the local pistol club. Be mindful that cars also use the fire trail, but are not as frequent from our experience.

This is the spot we introduced singletrack to Chino while mountain biking. The singletrack offers a mix of terrain such as soft loam, to hard packed sand and is not too technical.

Getting There

We park at the end of Porters Road at the locked gate where the road meets the trail. There is a section for bicycles to enter, though you will have to carry it over the wooden logs used to prevent dirt bikes from entering.
