DOGPACKING ROUTES AND DAY TRAILS
Dogpacking Routes in Australia
Dog-friendly cycling routes are not a common concept within the travel and tourism industry. With more Australian households warming up to and becoming obsessed with their canine companions, Dogpacking Australia aims to explore and carve out some options for those who love sharing outdoor adventures with their best mates.
While this page is still very much under construction, we aim to share our completed and planned trips with those who may be interested.
If you have completed dogpacking routes of your own and wish to share, please reach out! We’d love to include it here with full credits.

Disclaimer:
Before going on many of the rides below, we reached out to either the trail builders or tourism organisations in charge to see if we could cycle with Chino & Kira in crates on the back of our bikes. Some sections of the trails involved traveling through private properties with livestock, or through nature reserves. In specific areas, Chino & Kira were required to remain in their crates but were allowed to pass through. For the safety of our group, other riders and the greater environment, it is important that we safely manage our dogs time off the bikes for toilet breaks, a leg stretch and some exercise while being aware of the surroundings.
